Detention Services
About
The Orange County Detention Center opened in April 2022. It is a 48,900 square foot building located at 1200 US Highway 70 West in Hillsborough at the Northern Orange Campus. The facility has a 144-person capacity.
At the time of its opening, Sheriff Charles Blackwood said, “We are pleased to be in a modern facility that can help us more efficiently serve the safety, security, and human service needs of those placed into our care, custody, and control.”
The Magistrate's Office is also located inside the Detention Center.
